RICS-style home surveys · Basic plan

Home survey reports, RICS-style, from site to issued PDF

Write level 1, 2 and 3 home surveys from RICS-style templates with 1/2/3/NI ratings, lettered sections, photo markers and checks before issue. From £14.99.

What the report includes

A home survey is judged on two things: whether the ratings are right and whether the client can follow them. Report Kit 360 gives residential surveyors templates for levels 1, 2 and 3 that follow the familiar lettered structure and the 1, 2, 3 and NI condition ratings, written in our own wording and without any RICS material. You walk the property with your camera, drop the photos into the editor, draw a marker round each defect and rate it, and the template keeps the sections in order. Built-in checks will not let you issue a report with an unrated element or a condition rating 3 that has no photo and no action, and the client receives a numbered PDF through a link that tells you when it was opened.

Template: RICS-style level 2 (Basic). Alternatives: RICS-style level 1 (Basic), RICS-style level 3 (Basic), Building survey (TDD) (Basic). Level 2 carries the level 1 structure plus remedial outline fields, an overall opinion and an optional valuation variant set by the include_valuation variable.

Why rics-style home surveys teams use Report Kit 360

Ratings that cannot be left blank

The template's checks require every element to carry a 1, 2, 3 or NI rating and every rating 3 to have a photo and an action before you can issue.

Locked wording where it matters

Safety and limitation text is boilerplate in the template, so it reads the same on every report. Your own observations go in the findings.

Photos that file themselves

Fault numbers run in report order and appear on the photo, in the table under it and in the index. Snippets hold your standard Defect / Risk / Recommendation stems.

A numbered, verifiable PDF

Issue freezes the report with its checksum. The client opens a share link in any browser, and you can see when they did.

How it works

01

Create the report from the level 2 template

Title, client, reference and date. The sections, rating scheme and checks are already there.

02

Upload the site photos

Create a photo page for each, ordered by filename or photo time, and mark up the defects with a rating and fault type.

03

Fill the sections and the overall opinion

Work through outside, inside, services and grounds. Insert snippets for limitations and standard advice.

04

Clear the checks and issue

The Checks panel lists what is missing. Issue the numbered PDF and send the share link.
